Joining Gibson Consultants in 2011, Sheila Rouse brings knowledge of and experience in the provider, payor, and vendor market segments.  Her career began as a Systems Engineer with Electronic Data Systems (EDS), where she provided onsite technical support to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York.  She then joined Conway Medical Center in Conway, SC as Director of Information Systems and later became Chief Information Officer for New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

Sheila served Sunquest Information Systems as a Technical Account Manager, where she managed the client relationship and sold add-on software, hardware, and services to laboratory information systems (LIS) clients. In addition to selling HIT solutions, Sheila spent several years selling surgical implants and medical devices to Neurosurgeons, Orthopedic Surgeons, Spine Surgeons, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and Hospitals.

She also spent several years as the owner and President of Enterprise Recruiters, a successful search firm specializing in HIT companies.

With her many years in the field, and her accomplishments as a search consultant, Sheila fits in well with the Gibson Consultants mission: bringing a real-world perspective to the search process.
