Jim founded Gibson Consultants in 2002 after careers in healthcare technology and group health insurance.

At Dictaphone Healthcare, he was responsible for selling advanced speech recognition solutions to hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers. Working with the product management group, he also helped position Dictaphone’s automated coding, NLP, and handheld charge capture solutions. As Vice President of Sales for HSS, Jim was responsible for nationwide direct and third-party sales of coding, case mix classification, and prospective payment system (PPS) software to hospitals and health plans. Before HSS, Jim sold the DIAMOND claim system for Health Systems Design and clinical guidelines and administrative services for Health Risk Management.

Prior to his healthcare technology career, he spent nine years with Prudential Healthcare in sales, sales management, and hospital contracting. Jim was also responsible for account management for the eastern region of MHN, a managed behavioral health company.

Jim’s value for fulfilling work is the foundation for why he started Gibson Consultants. Jim has an M.B.A. in Financial Management and Business Economics from Pace University and a B.B.A. in Marketing from St. Bonaventure University.
